Meet Debbie
My Approach
I know that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Whether you're seeking support on your own or together with someone important to you, my aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore what's happening, without fear of judgement or criticism.
Clients often describe me as warm, calm and easy to talk to. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and non-judgemental. I believe that every person and every relationship is unique, so I tailor my work to meet your individual needs while offering thoughtful challenge when it feels helpful.
My belief is that counselling isn't about becoming someone different. We cannot change what has happened to us, but through understanding we can grow, relate differently and make the most of the life we have.

Working with me
Whether you come as an individual, as a couple, or as another relationship group, my aim is to offer a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.
Hello, I'm Debbie Ryman.
My working life has always been centred around supporting people. For many years, I've had the privilege of working therapeutically with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, helping them make sense of difficult emotions, navigate challenges and move towards positive change.
As my experience has grown, so has my passion for understanding relationships and the ways we connect with one another. This led me to specialise in relationship and couples counselling. I have a particular interest in attachment, trauma and communication, and in exploring how our earliest experiences can shape the relationships we build throughout our lives.
